WHO I WORK WITH

I support founders of agencies and ad-tech businesses who are still bogged down in the weeds. People like you.

Founders rarely need someone to tell them they are busy. They already know. What is harder to admit is that the business can be doing well on the outside while still relying too heavily on one person inside it.

Who I work best with

The founders who get the most from this work are ready to be honest.

After working with founders over the past five years, I've noticed the ones who make real progress tend to share the same traits. They're humble enough to know they don't have all the answers. They're committed to learning. They're willing to invest in themselves for the long term. Most importantly, they're prepared to be honest about what is actually going on.

That can be uncomfortable. Good coaching and board-level support will ask you to face the things you would rather delay: the weak role, the unclear proposition, the client risk, the lack of financial grip, the growth decision you keep circling around.

Avoiding the discomfort does not make the problem go away. It just delays your progress.

Humble enough to learn

You don'tt need to have all the answers. You do need to be open to better questions.

Prepared to be honest

The useful work starts when we can talk plainly about what is not working.

Willing to invest

Change needs time, judgement and commitment, not a quick motivational push.

Ready for discomfort

If the answer is always comfortable, it probably is not changing enough.

A straight answer first

Who I can help, and who I can’t.

I'd rather be honest up front than waste your time. Here is the shape of founder I do my best work with — and the ones I am not the right person for.

A good fit
  • 8–50 people
  • Creative, media, advertising, digital or ad-tech
  • Agency has outgrown its identity and perhaps its direction
  • Built on reputation, referrals and relationships
  • Good work, good clients, but inconsistent pipeline
  • Founder still the seller, fixer and decision-maker
  • Business looks established outside but feels fragile inside
  • Systems and operations lag behind the clients’ expectations
  • Founder feels overloaded, isolated and decision-fatigued
A poor fit
  • You are only a few people in and still working out what the agency is. This is not the moment. Grow into a real team first, then we will have something worth fixing.
  • You are hoping someone will step in and sort it all out for you. That is not what this is. I sharpen your thinking and keep you honest; the doing stays with you.
  • You are after a lift and a pep talk. The real work is slow, repetitive and often uncomfortable, and it only pays off if you keep showing up for it.
  • You cannot sit in a room and name what is genuinely going wrong. If we have to keep it comfortable, we will circle the point and never land on it.
  • You want someone to nod along and back every call you have already made. I say what I actually think, even when it stings. If that is not what you want, we will not get far.

Here's why I totally get it

Your business hasn't broken. It's outgrown the way it's being run.

You're carrying the sales, the decisions, the client pressure, the hiring, the firefighting, and the emotional load. You're the one who absorbs the shocks, the late payments, the resignation(s), the client wobbles, the Friday afternoon crisis. A business that can't do without you is far too shaky.

It's not that the business is broken. It's that it has outgrown the way it's being run.

The reason I'm not a coach and don't provide a coaching service is because you don't actually need another coach with a generic framework or a 3am panicked ChatGPT splurge that you decided might hold the answers — it doesn't. You need a confidant who has actually built and sold an agency, someone who understands the commercial reality, how you personally think, and the gaps that make the business feel fragile.

I'll help you steady the business, sharpen your message, strengthen the bones, and create a clear way forward. And, where the fit is right, I can also invest my own capital. One thing I won't do is make you wear sandals and sit on a mountain top in Tibet while you grow a man bun, even if it did work for Don Draper.

Testimonials

What my clients say.

There is no off-the-shelf programme. We start by understanding where the business really is, where you want to take it, and what kind of support will make the biggest difference.

Working with Dom over the past two years has been one of the best decisions I made as a founder. Dom brought structure, giving us the kind of large-agency discipline we didn't have on our own. Much of it came through weekly check-ins that held us accountable and got us match fit as we grew. Beyond the advisory side, Dom opened doors — his network is exceptional, and his introductions led to us producing large campaigns for some of the most reputable brands in the world.

Let's talk

Getting started couldn't be easier

It starts with a conversation. No pitch, no pressure. Tell me where the agency actually is and I'll tell you what I see, what's worth fixing, and what to do about it.
